Welcome!
Two giant thumbs up to Japanese toy maker, ToyCo, for the creation and introduction of one of the most beloved transforming figures ever. After ToyCo, we then thank Korean Intecs and Hasbro USA for catapulting the figure's design into worldwide popularity with the release of Transformers G1 Shockwave (Laserwave.Brutal). Lastly, but most definitely not least, we are grateful to all the (KO) knockoff toy manufactures that would pick up the Astro Magnum mold and run with it for many years afterwards. Thanks to the efforts of many, the world has been blessed with countless variants of rock solid collecting delight.
This is a visual guide / checklist that we hope will expand your vision, understanding and ability to successfully identify many of the licensed and knockoff figures produced over the last 40 years or so.
