Coko Toys Robot-Gun: The Ultra-Rare Red, White & Blue Variant
Holy Wowwwwzaa!
Made in Korea by Coko Toys, this Red, White & Blue Robot-Gun is one of those finds that makes you stop and stare. With its red, white and blue body and orange cannon and fist, fewer than six examples have turned up so far—and we've been watching for this one for years!
For a long time, collectors (ourselves included) wondered if these colorful Robot-Guns might be prototypes or test shots for the much more familiar grey version. With so few examples known, it was a pretty reasonable guess.
But now we've found something that changes the story: a 1984 Korean children's magazine advertisement showing the Red, White & Blue Coko Robot-Gun!
That's a pretty exciting discovery. It gives us contemporary evidence that this wasn't simply a one-off prototype sitting around a factory—it was an officially marketed Coko color variant.
And considering that fewer than six examples have surfaced after all these years, this has to be one of the rarest Coko Robot-Gun variants we've come across.
The Red, White & Blue Robot-Gun
Most collectors are familiar with the grey Robot-Gun, so seeing this wild red, white and blue version is quite a surprise. Old photos of the figure have circulated among collectors for years, but until recently there just wasn't enough evidence to know exactly what we were looking at.
Now, thanks to that 1984 Korean advertisement, and three boxed examples we finally have a much better idea of its story.
And honestly... we couldn't be happier to have been proven wrong about the prototype theory!

Robot-Gun was made in Korea and released through Coko Toys Co. Ltd. This version of Robot-Gun is really cool! It sports a Red, White & Blue patriotic Ultra Magnus Transformers vibe. Coko released at least three versions of Robot- Gun.

Robot-Gun Coko transformed into 'GUNBORG' mode

The owner is positioned beside an assortment of Coko Bricks, and on the shelf midway down, there lies the Robot Gun box featuring the red, white, and blue variant, resting on its side!!
Robot Gun was manufactured by Coko Industries, with production occurring on the assembly line of Daeyoon Electronics CO., LTD. in Gyeonggi Korea. Additionally, Daeyoon provided complimentary mold assistance to Coko to adapt the figure into Robot Gun. The goal was to export Robot Gun to the USA through Samsung C&T. Regrettably, after producing only a limited batch, its production was halted making it truly a rare find!

Vertical peg on the chest is what allows the red 'horn' to mount to it.

Figure has a deep 'V' sound switch similar to its Grey colored counterpart.
